As an owner’s representative, Flying Point Consulting works with you to achieve your goals. Whether your Maine building project is a new construction, a full or partial renovation to a home that’s been in your family for years, or an update to your design, our job is about understanding and executing your vision and engaging the right partners with the capabilities to do what you need. It’s also about doing the little things right. The feel and functionality of a home depend on countless tiny details many owners and contractors frequently overlook. From selecting fixtures to evaluating lighting plans to planning the locations for outlets and door hinges, we make sure that nothing seems out of place and that every choice made serves your unique vision and needs.

Island House Renovation

A busy Boston executive and her adult children wanted a multi-generational, three-season cottage with a turret, a bunk room for kids, outdoor shower, and revamped floorplan that allowed for future potential one-floor living, while taking advantage of spectacular sea views, on a quiet, car-free Casco Bay island. The existing structure was in need of significant improvements and structural support. Nadia met with them to discuss their vision, interviewed and hired the builder, worked with the architect, secured zoning approval, researched and advised on building materials, oversaw work product as well as costs and invoicing, among many other things. Throughout the process Nadia worked with the owners and their vision to identify opportunities and efficiencies to make sure the end product would be both beautiful and function in the way they desired.

New Construction

A new homeowner who frequently traveled internationally purchased an undeveloped, showpiece seaside property in Southern Maine as the location for a “forever” home. Nadia oversaw the project from start to finish. Selecting the best team across Architect, General Contractor, Landscape Architect, and many others. Balancing beauty and aesthetics with function. Working through design and functionality to identify opportunities like an extra wide door down to the basement to allow for winter outdoor furniture storage and efficiencies like using void spaces for additional storage. Researching materials that would hold the best value in balancing upfront costs with potential future maintenance needs. Featured in Maine Home & Design

It's all in the details

Family owners of a vintage island cottage where they had spent decades of summers wanted to refresh it while maintaining its original look and feel. Nadia oversaw an interior and exterior renovation that placed particular emphasis on details that preserved the structure’s classic elements while incorporating modernized upgrades and sophisticated decorative touches.
